I am suprised that this got put out of print! A damn fine story of overcoming the obstacles that we find in our way. Next time you think that life is to hard, just remember, Christy had to do it all with his foot.

Heart warming.

This is a wonderful book and very heart warming. I like the way the family treated Christy as if he were like everyone else. They did not put him away. I cannot imagine how hard it must have been for his mother too. She had so many other children and to make time to help Christy was something most women would not have done. I felt sorry for Christy but he had talent and the grit to try.
